The organization operates based on three pillars: early childhood education, early childhood care and leadership development

The Bracell Foundation began its activities in 2023, seeking to harness the transformative power of education to help all children realize their full potential and improve their lives. To achieve this goal, the organization established three pillars of action: early childhood education, early childhood care and leadership development. Thus, it seeks to work in collaboration with local governments, third sector organizations and universities to promote solutions to local challenges.

According to national and international studies, people who attended quality preschool, when compared to those who did not have this opportunity, learn more, are less likely to drop out of school, and are more likely to be employed, in addition to having higher salaries and being less likely to engage in criminal activities. These benefits were also observed in their children.

“There is a robust body of evidence proving that quality early childhood education can positively transform a person’s life. And to be of quality, education policy relies on a context in which comprehensive care is guaranteed, in addition to requiring competent leaders committed to its implementation in public management positions”, explains Eduardo de Campos Queiroz, CEO of the Bracell Foundation.

Pillars of action

The main focus of activity of the Bracell Foundation is early childhood education, in particular pre-school, with its mandatory attendance for children aged 4 and 5. The foundation identifies promising solutions to improve pre-school quality and helps turn them into large-scale policies.

Through strategic partnerships, support is provided to initiatives that promote equal learning opportunities and conditions for full development in early childhood, the stage of life from birth to 6 years old, in which the foundations for human development are laid.

The foundation also invests in the development of leaders committed to improving the education and living conditions of Brazilian children by strengthening the management and implementation of public policies.
